Racehorses can be unpredictable, unreliable and raceform can prove to be
misleading or inconclusive. Predicting the winner of any horserace
especially handicaps with any degree of certainty is notoriously difficult,
frequently impossible, unless you
have the right system...
SRIKANT - our Speed Rating generator Over the past five years we have developed our own software - S.R.I.K.A.N.T. (Speed Rating
Index & Knowledge Analyser
- Normal Time) to analyse the finishing
times of racehorses for both National Hunt and
Flat racing within UK and
Ireland. SRIKANT is not
swayed or influenced by a horse's reputation, odds, pedigree, Tattersall's
sale price or it's work on the gallops at home because all of these factors
are irrelevant, he only analyses proven fact.
Each day, we enter all of the race results from the previous day into the
system, not just for 1st, 2nd and 3rd but for every horse including their
weight, jockey, trainer, age and distance beaten. SRIKANT uses his own
sophisticated algorithms (developed from analysing previous results)
to calculate the finishing times for all competitors in the race. The aim of
SRIKANT is to determine
a reliable handicap rating for every racehorse currently racing within UK and
Ireland. If we have a reliable
handicap rating which can be compared to the Official Handicap Rating, we can
highlight betting opportunities that no one else apart from ourselves and
our members could ever know.
The Stopwatch never lies...
When comparing the performance of racehorses, there can be nothing more
accurate than the stopwatch. Time is the universal standard for evaluating
class in many sports and provides a proven factual figure which can be
relied upon from which to base our horse racing analysis. Speed Ratings,
Stopwatch Ratings or Speed Figures are
essentially just a number (higher the better) which indicate overall
racehorse ability.
However, bare speed figures alone are not accurate, unless every horse race
was run under identical conditions, the same racehorses, racetrack, race
distance, race weights, jockeys and race going.
In reality, this never happens! So what can we do?
This is where SRIKANT sets himself apart from any other system or software,
because he actually learns from his ever growing database of past race
results, so he becomes wiser and more accurate every single day!
SRIKANT's algorithms analyse the effect of weight over all distances, horse
performances over all distances and goings and has developed his own set of
'average times' for every distance at every racecourse in UK and Ireland.
From this 'average time' a reliable speed rating can be determined.
